Grandma - Teresa Cristoforo Limosani

Grandma and Grandpa's sister, Mary Micheline Fulgaro - 1918

Grandma was 10 years younger than her sister, Maria. Maria wanted an education and, without her father's knowledge, applied to the local church as a novice and was accepted. Grandma's father, Angelo, was furious. He did not want the girls educated. His fear was centuries inbred among the poor and he feared with an education, Maria would leave. He swore that Grandma would not have an education, because of that and kept his word. Maria only lasted a year in the convent but became very educated. Unfortunately, Grandma was given much schooling.
